I love bags. BIG bags. I love different fabrics, but not overly loud things. Fluorescent is generally out until maybe June. But, sadly, I can’t afford to buy lots of bags and purses. I hadn’t really jumped on the make it yourself purse train until recently. So with a gift certificate, I bought this book:
I used an Ikea Dandelion home dec weight fabric that I had, and I really like the way the seed spray is coming up into the gathers. This is also my first interior zipper pocket. I got into a fight with the seam ripper. I was tired of employing it so frequently. That said, the construction still only took about an hour, about a yard and a half of fabric in total. The book has really great bags. All different, all trendy. There is even luggage! I always wanted to make some carry ons! My creative spark is lit.
I went to the end of year sale at my fav local fabric store: the Stitchin Post ( mentioned often), in Sisters OR. Everything was 25% off, so I picked up these gems in laminated form ( pictured at the bottom of this post) oh the bags I see in my head. soon to be on here!! But first, I have a few new Hawley Sacks to finish!!!!
