I had my first Rhubarb harvest of the year. It was a big one too! I made rhubarb sauce ( sorta like apple butter very good with meats). Rhubarb is a surprisingly versatile veg. However, I generally stick to Strawberry rhubarb combos and then the rhubarb sauce I can and use for gifts/through the winter. Hopefully we will be getting some goat meat this autumn, and I will try it with the rhubarb sauce. I have a feeling it will be very good. In other projects:
This is the braided tank from HERE. This picture doesn’t do it or me any favors. It is very comfy and fits well. It is a quick and easy project. I made two in a couple hours start to finish. Of course I am often interrupted.
I finished this dress also from the Burda Style site, but, am not that impressed with how it looks on me. I will probably wear it around the house this season, but, I don’t do so well with the high waist look. I suppose its personal opinion, but I feel that I dress myself to the best I can with what I can get cheap or easy. I am working at upgrading my summer wardrobe with very little money. I got two pair of cheap sandals on the Target clearance aisle yesterday, and I have a number of shirts to refashion. I also have these pants cut out, and these shorts. We’ll see if I get them constructed. I hope so, because I could use them.
I am prepping for the Summer Soire for BayBeeGee and friends trunk show. Its to be the 19th of June at 10 AM at cascade Village Shopping Center in Bend. I will be there with all the available carriers and I may have a drawing for a freebie also. We’ll see!
Since Hubby is on vacation I am going to use it him as a child distraction so I can get some goods finished! I have another new product I would like to have ready for the trunk show, and I have a lot of hang tag designing/printing to get done. Not as easy as thought…
I am gonna leave you for now. My brain is a little fried. I was up all night with coughing and hacking and crying babes which makes me a little scattered. Enjoy your Tuesday! I may be back tomorrow with a new completed project!
