I am learning all about taking shots with my self timer. It isn’t the easiest, but I have one window with great light always.
I spotted this shirt on the Anthropologie page recently, and thought,”now that’s a shirt I can do”.
It’s just jersey on jersey shirt. I have lots of plain knit shirts…
So we’ll start there.
I cut my leaves out of other t shirts that needed recycling. Most of them are from the kids stained clothes. I cut 5 leaves from each of 4 colors, and then 5 circles from the same color. You could change this up in a LOT of ways. I may need to do another in rainbow style. Because knits don’t fray, I didn’t hem the leaves at all. I used my dress form to stretch the shirt while I pinned the leaves in a placement I liked, and then hand basted them so they would stay in place better. I tried the shirt on after I basted them to make sure there weren’t any gaps and that I liked it.
Then I sewed them on to the shirt with a contrasting thread, and a line in the center to distinguish these blobs as leaves.
not so hard. A quick change from plain ol tee to fab-o tee!
