Not really. Its fun in the idea that I may take the day to myself for grocery shopping and maybe a little thrifting. I don’t need anything, but I am always looking for enameled cast iron, shoes (because I like to), and great treasures. Great treasures can include anything from high end brand clothing at rock bottom cheap prices ( with no holes, stains, etc), or maybe some fabulous vintage dress, maybe a valuable toy for my kids. It could just be something I know that someone in the family would appreciate. I tend to look for interesting gift items ALL year. Since I never know what I am gonna find it makes it all the better. Plus, the goodwill is the only thrift store I know that is open all day on Sunday and they change their half off color tag on Sundays!
I am considering going HERE for a special Valentine surprise for te tired Hubby. He will be working all day tomorrow, I will be in town all day tomorrow, its a difficult Monday for Valentines Day.
Years past, we don’t do much. A special dinner at home, maybe a bottle of wine and some quality time. Its never been in our nature to get excited about gift giving. He got a tattoo a couple weeks ago, I am getting one in a week. So I suppose that is our Valentines Day gift.
Since I am off to do some Valentine shopping and I have a very fun outfit planned for tomorrow, I am going to just wear a little red today… I love red. As does Hawley. He will always choose red given a choice. He has a brilliant red coat from Hanna Andersson that we love, and he has red shoes. It will be interesting when he is in high school.
Tomorrow I spend the day in Hawley’s class. It is my normal volunteer day, but it is also party day! Murphy was invited as well. Should be interesting!
The Great Blue Heron rests on its monthly migration to Costco, Trader Joes, Cash and Carry and alone time…
