This top is inspired by the triple strap top at Anthropologie. I thought the three straps and the racer back gave it a little something extra. However, I am not a big fan of rayon. So, here is a loosely inspired top.
I have had this double gauze hanging out since last summer… I think. I have been trying to figure out what I was going to do with it, and I liked this idea. So I took 2 rectangles, sewed them together on the short ends to make a tube just big enough for me to slide into. This fabric has a little give to it, so I didn’t bust out a seam or anything.
When I had that together, I placed the 6 straps where I wanted them, top stitched a continuous seam making sure to place the racer back in the back as I was going around. I had a folded hem at the top, and had a wide enough channel to add a little elastic so that the top didn’t gap anywhere. I hemmed the bottom and there you go. Not from a pattern, but very comfortable. I wish I would have set it up so the hip zone was a little looser, but I like this too.
