I Have mentioned a few times that I will be re purposing some of my Dad’s things into things for me, my sisters, mom and more family. Here is one such item:
The Vintage Bloomingdale’s Cashmere scarf.
I don’t know if he bought this scarf new in the day, or if he found it used. Either way, its an awesome scarf. These last few years I have been loving the infinity scarves and cowls that crop up everywhere. I have a few myself, and I wanted to take a little inspiration from Anthropologie’s Voluminous Necklace Scarf. I will probably do this again, because it adds a little something extra to an already great accessory.
So I took some colorful wooden beads, a leather thong and there you go, that’s about it. I sewed the thong ends to the scarf, layered it a little and left the fringe for effect and remembrance on my part.
You could do this same thing with any scarf, change up an old fav from seasons past. The time is now ( in the Northern Hemisphere) and what a great addition to the outing to the Pumpkin Patch.
