I don’t have an iPad. I just haven’t gotten around to getting one and I think I will wait for the next generation anyway. There is ALWAYS a next generation. I have a Kindle Fire, which works for me just fine. This is the reason it never occurred to me to make tablet sleeves. Even though the dimensions are out there, and I usually include a pocket big enough for an eReader on my bags, it just didn’t seem like a brilliant plan.
I think I might make a few though. This one turned out so well…
This puppy is super padded, and stiffened! I used fusible fleece AND 2 sided craft fuse. TWO stabilizers. TWO! I think I perfected ironing my laminates too… we’ll see. I just did it envelope style and put a double row of stitches on the spine to help it fold. I used two pieces of velcro and a suede flap. The lining is a quilters cotton. a new tutorial to come.
If I can get the wallets, and bags, and approval for Crafty Wonderland, come see me, I may have iPad sleeves!
