When we were deciding which project to start with I must have gotten my messages mixed, because I combined the sketch stitched lunch napkins with the border stitched linen placemats. After those two ideas bounced into each other, never to separate, this is what I came up with:
I used natural linen, and folded my edges and stitched with the contrasting thread. I did a design in the center to circle a plate, so you just barely see the leaves and vines while you are eating.
