I got my email from Crafty Wonderland. They had to use a lottery system and I was not a lucky winner. I would like to be able to think that I was just unlucky but I can’t help feeling rejected.
In answer to those feelings I took the time to slowly drink my coffee and read a few posts in a series by Sandra and Jen over on Raincoast Cottage. They started posting conversations that they would have via email and the topics center around talking about creativity.
Today’s most useful posting: Self doubt
On days like today I try to remember that I have inspiration and Joy all around me. That I am lucky. Lucky to be able to have so much, in my heart and in my physical world. I live in a free country, I can speak my mind if I choose. I can raise my kids how I choose. I can buy Legos and iphones and give my time and money to charities. I can eat well and often. I can breathe.
All very good things.
I am gonna shift out of over production mode and back into daily creation fun.
Rachael and I are working on some snarky cross stitch patterns, you know how I love those. It might be a little while though, we have Kids Clothes Week Challenge and she is working on a few Quilt a Longs!
Stick with it, tis the busy season!
