I rarely make something that I don’t intend to use/wear/gift/sell. sometimes, sure I do something new for the experience and it doesn’t always work (more on that later). I was wearing my raccoons this saturday and really enjoying them as something unexpected. The boys were spending some time with their grandparents while I was completing errands, one of which was going to the library to handle some overdue fees. I know, overdue! I was standing at the counter and the library assistant helping me mentioned my scarf, and then my wrist warmers (made by this funny lady). I said that I didn’t knit, I am more of a sewist. so I pointed out my raccoons.
this is when it gets exciting. the librarians asked me to wait, and she got the attention of another employee that it tuns out is in charge of workshops that the library sponsors. They want me to be their crafty workshop lady!
That’s just what Casa Crafty is meant to be!
I am more excited than I can display here. This gives me an opportunity for developing community relationships. A function beyond my home, and the possibilities are endless. My first task is to read this book:
and create a series of crafts using themes to tie in during the Novel Idea time frame. Look at that cover. its swimming with current trends: foxes, birch, winter goodies!!!
oh man. this is gonna be fun. and of course, all the projects I do will be featured here too!!!
