But, its regular ol rubber stamp carving and card making! I couldn’t resist! Murphy was so into it. I was carving stamps for my handprinted fabric and he got super excited.
So I gave him a piece of rubber and a carving tool and a little direction on safe cutting practices and away we went.
I am really impressed with his abstract works. He would say they are trenches and spines, but I see fractured glass and more.
I had a bunch of precut cardstock. I decided to fold them in half and put Murphy’s stamps on them with a bit of negative space.
we made a handmade by murphy stamp for the back too. I forgot when cutting it that it needed to be backwards. so I recarved it on the other side of this rubber free hand to give it that child like feel.
