I have been wanting to start a monthly craft group in my community. Our first one will be Friday June 21st from 4-6 pm at the Redmond Library meeting room. This will be a gathering of people that are interested in sharing techniques, meeting other like minded crafters and really, a stitch and bitch. So bring your knitting, or your polymer clay, or whatever you may be working on. Kids under 10 have to stay with their parents in the room, but they are all welcome. There are electrical outlets if you would like to bring a sewing machine, to work on whatever you may have. I will bring an iron and ironing board. Do you have technical questions? I may be able to help!
This coincides with Etsy’s craft party day on the 20th , so I will be posting about our gathering on their forums and throughout central Oregon. Let’s make this a success!
I will bring small kits with me for those of you that want to learn a new and easy craft (they will be inexpensive- $5 or less):
and that you can complete on your own if not in the two hours we have at the library. This is FREE to attend and be a part of. You may also bring snacks and whatever you think you need. Feel free to send me private messages through facebook with questions, but you can also get to me through email. Don’t forget that Centennial park is just down the way for fun in the fountain!
