I started working the Abate for Murphy. You may remember that I was trying to make this sweater last fall. however, when I pulled it out to finish it, I couldn’t figure out where I had left off AND there were a lot of mistakes. So I just pulled it out. The Abate works up much faster, and I am hoping to have it finished this week. I’m hoping the crimpy look from the previously knitted yarn washes out. This one is from cascade superwash 220 = machine wash 🙂
I coined this number the Scrappy Samplaghan. It is scrap yarn, that had no intended project, all in chunky. Most of it is Cascade magnum, but some rasta from malabrigo and others. Its soft, its fluffy and there are switches between garter stitch, stockinette, and seed stitch.
This is a happy experiment. I wanted to make the twinkle hoodie after seeing this one from My So Called Handmade Life. I’ve had the book by Wenlan Chia for a while, but really wasn’t feeling it until now. I really like this, but I should have made the larger size, I would like it more if it was a slumpy larger hoodie. The buttons are made by a friend, and are HUGE! and wonderful 😉 The boys think I look like Two Face.
I posted these projects that are finished on Kollabura. Go check them out!
