I haven’t done an end of the year round up before, but I thought this was a good time to start. What do I remember from this year? Well, honestly, not as much as I did…
Let’s start back in January
I was still working on my #365makes with enthusiasm, and I was home on my own for the first time since having kids. Hours of alone time… HOURS. Why didn’t I use it more wisely?
Most of January was spent on home made makeup and cleaning supplies, so let’s just jump to one of the most popular posts from February:

There were several babies born and we had an online baby shower!
I went on a temporary and very restricted diet… it didn’t last long.
I made an Alder skirt and ended up on a pattern front!
Along with all the sewing and knitting, we lost our old big dogs. One right after the other. In a tragic romance there were correlations between when we adopted them to when they left us. We got Honey right away when we moved to Central Oregon, and then a month later got Tabor. Tabor passed away and almost exactly a month later Honey did too. They needed each other in life and in death. They are missed every day.

We had a Harry Potter celebration, which also fell on Hawley’s birthday!
We had another Pattern parcel, but this bag combo got a lot of interest and ended up going to a good friend of mine.

My kitchen died during the summer and got finished just after the school year started. One of the longest frustrations I have had to deal with so far in my life. I know there will be more, and many with more importance, but this took the wind out of me for the summer for sure.
Halloween was incredible, both for it’s intensity and Sew geeky fun!
