It’s no secret around this space that I love animal prints. Not zebra patterns and cheetah spots, but repeating animals. I love to share the animals too. What better person to share with than a mom to be, and a little baby boy?
I literally have Lions and Bears, and seals and… and… so much more. The burp cloths are prefold cloth diapers with a strip sewn down to give it a little something extra. I added “Je’taime” ribbon in place of a tag because, well, I couldn’t find the few Turtleturtle tags I have left.
The baby blanket is a simple double gauze job. It’s very easy, and the more it gets washed, the softer and fluffier it gets. You take 1 yard of fabric and turn under the raw edges twice. Sew straight lines and voila!
These tend to be my “go-to” baby gifting items. I do these because they are useful, and customizable. Both of my babies were summer kiddos, and the gauze blankets I had from Aden and Anais were favorites. Recreating them is relatively easy, and there are a lot of Double Gauze prints out there that are truly awesome.
Speaking of summer babies, today is my baby’s 7th birthday! That is amazing to me. 7 years ago, I became a mom of 2, and this little spitfire has given me so many snuggles and headaches, what would I do with anyone else? He is an excellent little brother, a fast learner, and loves tomatoes like me. My heart. Thank you for choosing us Murphy. We love you so.
