It was the last day of school. Our literal last day at the elementary school they have been attending their entire education (granted that’s only 2 years for M). We were lucky enough to have the boys taught by the same wonderful first grade teacher. We have loved her, and I am grateful they both got to be in her class.
Both the boys had great years, enjoying friends and learning. They’ve both excelled this year in their reading fluency and I know they will do fabulous wherever we end up next.
M’s class got a Yo Wild party and Murphy roamed around with my camera, taking pictures of everybody, including me:
For our favorite 1st grade teacher, we needed a little something special. I’ve already given her many a laminated carry all and so on. So I took my Owl Applique idea, and did a mustang. Mustangs are the school mascot, and I have used Ann Wood’s template before. You may remember.
This applique didn’t take long, beyond the glue drying. I used the same method as the Owl applique.
I put the applique on a simple zip pouch. With the summer, we all need a good wet bag fora variety of things.
We’ll miss you Tom McCall. And very definitely, Mrs. Cron.
