I’ve got one childhood friend that is all knowing when it comes to Baseball. I don’t know much about baseball. When she suggested taking me and the boys to Seattle for a Mariners Game I said,”Yes! Of course!” My kids need baseball. I would have loved to see a big game like that when I was a kid.
Part of returning to the Portland Metro area was getting to hang out with some of our longest friends a lot more. She gets to be a super auntie, and so this was a big birthday treat! She got them hoodies, and we went down to Pike Market. It was ridiculously crowded, so I didn’t take any pictures there.
I haven’t ever been to Safeco Field, and it is magnificent and overwhelming and huge and all those things.
It was a long day, but the boys did great. I was surprised that they didn’t break down. It just shows me that they are getting older and while that makes me smile, it also means they aren’t my little babes anymore…
After the game, the boys got to run the bases, which they thought was fabulous.
I of course, spent the time knitting. What else am I to do? I can actually knit and watch things now at the same time, so I was aware of what was up. I know enough about Baseball to know that the Angels won…
