When I was in college. A long time ago, I was a bouncy, very flirty 19 year old girl. While this is great, and I definitely used it to my advantage, I did land in an odd job. I worked in a meat cutters. We weren’t a butcher, but a higher end, old school meat shop. I was first the janitor, and then the chicken lady. It was a great job, and I learned some very unusual things, and all the dudes I worked with were under the age of 23. It was a party.
Other than the many uses of a baked potato, I also learned how to make sausage. I have had the meat grinder and sausage stuffer attatchments for my kitchenaid for years, but had not used them yet. While we were packing and clearing, I found some preserved sausage casings and had some rabbit meat that needed used up, so I made sausage! Polish seasonings, and a lot of giggling between me and the boys!
Hours later we had: SAUSAGE! Some of them were kind of funky, but by the end they were pretty even and uniform. Thank you to my oldest for being a shaky photographer. He got a few pics 🙂
I’m sorry I don’t have a real recipe to help with making your own sausage. I used a kit you get from the hunter supply (farm and outdoor stores) for making elk or deer sausage. The system is the same though, so give it a try! Wait, do you eat meat??
