I started blogging so many years ago, it seems like a lifetime. When I started I didn’t really know what I was hoping for or where it would all go. In the years since, I have learned about photography, online representations, sales, management, and well… myself.
I have been wanting to move my whole operation onto 1 platform. The blog, the shop, newsletters, tutorials and class schedules now that I am teaching a little. With some help from Autumn Street, I think I have gotten a site that I really love. A simple and straight forward design with some quirky little moments. I wanted to bring in some of my favorite photos that I have taken, some of my happiest creating moments, to remind me that I really enjoy this makers world. To remind me that in this ever changing landscape of creation, I have a place, I have value and a voice.
In all this time I have discovered that the world of sewing bloggers has a great deal to offer. I have also discovered that I am old, and yet, not old enough. I’m not going in a new direction, just opening some doors a little wider into my world.
So, welcome to the new Casa Crafty! Through this site, we can interact on the blog, you can access class offerings and craft social dates (still under construction, but classes are listed) , You can buy laminate and patterns (eventually), and you can link up to me through your favorite social media.
It is still a work in progress, but I love the progress so far. What do you think?
