I had to take a little break. The realities of the USA right now are devastating. I needed some space to process how I was feeling, what I want to do to change it and how my passions could help me and others. I will come back to my personal feelings in another post, for now, lets talk about cozy sweaters.
I was having a hard time deciding what to make my toaster sweater out of. I had this white sweatshirt fleece sitting around though and one of my goals for #sewmystyle was to create staple pieces to interchange in my handmade wardrobe with my crazier choices. The sweatshirt fleece is from Mill End and it is so soft on the inside. I love it.
The mitered corner technique is really cool and I had not done that before. It makes the side vents so much neater. I plan to make at least one more and make it a little longer. I recommend this pattern highly as something satisfying, beautifully simple and a fast sew.
