Everytime I make a bra and underwear set I struggle with how to show them to you. I want to share because I am proud that I can do these, I am absolutely thrilled to recycle in this way, and yet I am not sure how to show them on the body without being over the top.
I am going to go artsy every time. Showing a little, but not all.
This set is unique. It is made from 2 design companies out of 2 methods of recycling. The seahorse knit is a tee shirt I cut apart. The lace is from a stretch headband I took apart. I scored a big bag of these lace headbands new in their packages at the goodwill. When I started taking them apart, I realized I got 2 pieces of 6″ wide stretch lace that were each 16″ long! Perfect.
I am inheriting a new dresser that has perfect little lingerie drawers so I think I need to make a bunch of new matching pretties for spring. Maddie Flanagan, Urban Outfitters, and Haute flair are all featured here for inspiration:
Do you sew lingerie? What is your favorite style? do you have a RTW company you go back to over and over?
Happy Panty making!
