My birthday was in October. This year, I noticed that Cricut was coming out with a new machine. I have always wanted a cricut or Silhouette. I asked for the Cricut Maker and here is what I have done so far-
I started with a variety of vinyls. I did a decal for my Instant pot and that was an interesting experience. I’m still figuring out the best use of the transfer tape and then learning about the durability of each. I purchased some bumper sticker decal material and made this heartbeat. I have gotten requests for these bumper stickers for others now so I went ahead and set up a listing in the shop for these.
I made a shop tank with the iron on vinyl and even though cricut has a handy tool for this, it worked fine with my iron. The material has held on through the wash as well so I think this could be a cool option. However, the next iron on project I did fell apart after the first wash. I got to thinking later that maybe I used the wrong vinyl? It was great while it lasted though:
I also used the bumper sticker material for my kids Hydroflasks. I decided to use this material because they are swimmers, so the bottle are always by water and concrete.
Some of the finished transfers were images I purchased from Etsy sellers, and some I made up. There has been a bit of a learning curve and I am still working on a few other things. I also used the rotary blade attachment to make perfect little lightning bolts for the Halloween costumes (detailed post coming this week).
