I am joining Black Sheep fibers in what will soon be the best learning center on the West side! If you live in the Portland Metro area, be sure to check out everyone’s classes, you may find something you have not thought of learning!

Now the sewing!
I noticed Velvet and Velveteen make a surge over the spring and summer and decided that I wanted some for myself. So I got this amazing brown stretch velveteen and I love love love this top!
I used the Carol Tee pattern from Shwin Designs. I liked the simplicity of it and while I could have done this on my own, I have had to omit too much extra thinking from my days as I try to get on top of time changes and barometer pressure changes and so on and so forth.
I feel like since we moved north our rhythm has been off as a family. Not that I had it all together before, but I definitely felt more “with it”. The whole process of uprooting what we had set up for over a decade, the systemic purging and then gathering, the process that just kept going. We’ve had ups and downs, and now I feel like we are hitting our stride. I’m super excited to offer more instruction and projects for walk-ins, which had always been a part of my plan. Have an hour for lunch? come make a scarf! Have a question about a project? bring it in, I will help as best I can!
Let’s chat more later friends! For now, off to clear out some space for an “online” studio sale.
PS- I love these granny boots, but they aren’t comfortable for me. I’m trying to figure out the best inserts, any ideas? Thanks!
