One of the most tedious yet rewarding projects I ever did was a little plush penguin. I used a variety of scraps and stumbled my way through making little flippers and feet and getting the beak just so. This project was tedious because I got frustrated so easily. However I learned quite a lot about myself and my skills and gained some new techniques as well.
Did you know that there is a sloth reserve in Rainier Oregon??!! I didn’t. They have other animals there as well and have recently opened up to allow select groups to tour the facility, you can even pay to stay over night in the sloth habitat! but its expensive.
So when I found this amazing sloth pattern, I really wanted to share it with my students. This little guy is designed by Crafty Kooka on Etsy. For each student an individual pattern will be purchased from the designer and printed out for them ready to use when they arrive.
This camp will focus on honing the skills and patience it takes to work on a more intense project. We will use the 4 days to make our best sloth friend and our very own sloth to snuggle!
This sewing camp is suitable for beginning students ages 6-14 and will cover the introduction and basics to sewing. We will go over safety practices, sewing machine basics and all about the fabrics we will be using.
